Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Marketing Manager to join our team , a leading news web company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. This role requires a combination of creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of current digital marketing trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
  • Content Creation: Create, curate, and manage published content (images, video, written) that engages and builds meaningful connections with our audience.
  • Platform Management: Oversee social media accounts, ensuring brand consistency across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Campaign Management: Plan and execute social media campaigns to drive engagement, website traffic, and revenue.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "social" way while cultivating leads and sales.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed, producing reports on social media ROI.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments (editorial, marketing, sales) to manage reputation, identify key players, and coordinate actions.
  • Staying Updated: Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies.
  • Crisis Management: Manage and mitigate any crisis that arises on social media platforms.

Skills, Experiences

  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role in a news or media company.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or related field.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media best practices.
    • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics.
    • Experience with audience and buyer persona research.
    • Familiarity with web design and publishing.
    • Excellent multitasking skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical and multitasking skills.
    • Creativity and a strong visual eye.
  • Tools: Proficiency with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, etc.).
